About Mateo Zapata Real estate, to me, has never been about simply opening doors or completing transactions. It’s about people, relationships, and helping someone make one of the biggest financial and personal decisions of their life with confidence. I’m Mateo Zapata, a full-time REALTOR® with Paramount Home Group at LPT Realty, proudly serving Tampa Bay and surrounding areas. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish, and I bring years of experience helping buyers, sellers, investors, first-time homeowners, relocating families, and luxury clients navigate the Florida real estate market. I’ve called the Tampa Bay area home for more than 22 years, and that local connection is a huge part of the value I bring to my clients. I don’t just know properties—I know the communities, the growth, the lifestyle, and the differences that can make one neighborhood a much better fit than another. What I love most about real estate is the challenge of putting all the pieces together for my clients. For buyers, that may mean finding the home they didn’t think was possible, negotiating a better price, securing seller concessions, identifying potential issues before they become expensive problems, or simply being the person they can call when they’re overwhelmed and need a clear answer. For sellers, I love creating a strategy around the property rather than simply putting it on the market and hoping it sells. Pricing, presentation, marketing, communication, negotiation, and understanding the buyer on the other side all matter. My goal is to position my sellers to make the strongest decision possible while protecting their equity. And when things get complicated—that’s when I believe a great agent becomes even more valuable. Real estate transactions don’t always go perfectly. Inspections uncover problems. Appraisals come in differently than expected. Financing changes. Insurance, flood zones, HOAs, title issues, deadlines and negotiations can create challenges. I take pride in being hands-on, staying involved, asking questions, communicating with lenders, title companies, inspectors and other agents, and working toward solutions instead of simply delivering problems to my clients. Peace of mind is my priority. I want my clients to feel that they have someone genuinely looking out for them—not someone chasing the next commission. I’m comfortable telling a client when I believe they should walk away from a property. I’ll ask the uncomfortable questions, research the details, negotiate hard when necessary, and make sure my clients understand what they’re agreeing to before moving forward. I also believe that buying or selling a home should still be exciting. Some of my favorite moments happen after all the negotiations and paperwork are finished—watching a first-time buyer receive their keys, helping a family find their forever home, seeing someone relocate to Florida and begin a completely new chapter, or helping a seller move forward knowing we maximized their opportunity. Those moments are why I do this. My business has grown through relationships, referrals, repeat clients, and people trusting me with their friends and family. That means more to me than any transaction ever could. I want to be the real estate professional you can call today, five years from now, or whenever someone you care about needs help. I work throughout Tampa, Wesley Chapel, New Tampa, Lutz, Land O’ Lakes, Brandon, Valrico, Riverview, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and surrounding Florida communities, and I’m comfortable working across a wide range of price points—from first homes and investment properties to waterfront and luxury real estate. Outside of the transaction itself, I genuinely enjoy connecting with people. I love Florida living, discovering new communities, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and of course spending time with my Shih Tzu, Mona and Rosie. I’m Colombian, and that background has also shaped the way I approach relationships: personally, warmly, and with a strong appreciation for family and community. If we work together, expect communication, energy, transparency, persistence, and someone who takes your goals personally. I don’t expect you to choose me simply because I’m a real estate agent. There are plenty of agents. I want to earn the opportunity to become your agent. Whether you’re buying your first home, selling a property you’ve owned for decades, relocating to Florida, investing, searching for waterfront or luxury real estate, or simply trying to understand what your next move should be, I’m here to be a resource. You don’t have to be ready to buy or sell today to have a conversation with me. Tell me what you’re trying to accomplish, what matters most to you, and even what you’re worried about. Then let’s build the right plan together. Mateo Zapata Paramount Home Group | LPT Realty Tampa Bay REALTOR® English & Español Peace of mind is my priority.
